We’ve been talking to all of you to learn what you want and need from this collective and our events. As a result, we know our 2019 gathering will have a lot more space for small group conversations, building relationships, learning as leaders in diverse contexts, and really diving into the progressive theologies that fuel our passions for justice. On the evening of November 5th (election day so vote early!) the W/ Board will be hosting a special pre-event for those who are new to the collective to meet each other and some of our core leaders. No matter where you are on your leadership journey, you’ll find a space and people to support and challenge you.

Many thanks to our host Watershed Church for making this event possible. Watershed is one of the newest partner churches in the W/ Collective. They are a vibrant, compassionate, and creative church community who has called downtown Charlotte home since 2005. Recently they hosted sold-out public events with Austin Channing Brown and musician Derek Webb. Watershed deeply values transformation… moments and relationships that change everything, and our events team is sharing their vibe as we plan our vision for November.

Watershed is conveniently located about 15-20 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International airport. They enjoy close proximity to Charlotte’s Uptown (which they call “downtown”), which includes numerous lodging options (both Airbnb and hotels). They are walking distance from three great breweries (with many more a short drive away) as well as numerous restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, and museums. W/plans to take advantage of all the great progressive communities, artists, and cultural spots around Charlotte as we learn and grow together in this up-and-coming city in the Southeast. Stay tuned for more details on our 2019 National Gathering!

Interested in partnering W/ us to make this event possible? We’re looking for sponsors, partner churches, and individual leaders who want to give time, resources or connections to help shape and make this event possible. To learn more, email Events Team Staff Member Jen Fisher.
